About Pindo Palms
The Pindo Palm can withstand the chilliest southern winters and is known for producing succulent and delicious amber-colored fruit called the Pindo dates. These dates have given the Pindo palm the nick name of Jelly Palm, since it’s dates are often used to create savory jams and jellies. The pale green leaves are what give the Pindo its character. Supported by inward curving fronds, the leaves are accentuated by a blue-grey sheen that gives it a distinctive look unlike any other Palm.
